The conference is focused on enhancing bankability and blended financing for water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya. It aims to bring together stakeholders in the WASH sector, including policymakers, investors, financial institutions, SMEs, and development partners, to discuss and explore ways of promoting access to financing for WASH initiatives and SMEs.
The conference is scheduled to take place from May 24th to May 25th 2023 in Safari Park Hotel. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available.
The conference is aimed at a range of stakeholders in the WASH sector, including policymakers, financial institutions, investors, SMEs, development partners, and NGOs. The conference will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn from experts, exchange ideas, and network with other stakeholders.
The delegate registration for the event will be free of charge which will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, and registration will close upon reaching a maximum capacity of 100 Delegates. However, Exhibitor will be required to pay for the exhibition costs which will include the hiring of an exhibition booth, tables, and chairs.
The conference is being organized by the Ministry of Water Sanitation and Irrigation, Ministry of Health, USAID,UNICEF, Johkasou Green Ltd, Climate Fund Managers, SNV, and WWF. The organizers are committed to promoting access to financing for WASH initiatives and SMEs in Kenya and believe that the conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and identify best practices.

These include: Innovative financing mechanisms and blended finance models for WASH initiatives and SMEs, Overcoming challenges to accessing finance in the WASH sector and for SMEs, Promoting gender equality and women's entrepreneurship in the WASH sector, Case studies and success stories of blended financing and innovative financing models in the WASH sector, Donor coordination and public-private partnerships for financing WASH initiatives and SMEs, Match Making and Networking Sessions amongst financiers and SMEs and MSMEs.
